Women’s HC CSKA, after losing throughout the first half in Astrakhan, secured a comfortable advantage at the begging of the second half of the match and won another victory.
The hosts started the match energetically. 3 and a half minutes after the starting whistle they were leading with a score of 4:1. The leader leveled the score at the 12th minute (6:6). Moreover, half of the rivals’ goals were scored by the exes — Polina Sharkova from Astrakhanochka and and Yuliya Baeva from CSKA.
While fulfilling a throw in the middle of the first half, Sharkova hurt her wrist, but during her temporary absence on the court HC Astrakhanochka pulled ahead by four balls (13:9). The playmaker Kseniya Ilyina made three accurate throws. However, the host ineptly lost their advantage by losing three goals into an empty net in a row in a numerical minority. CSKA was ahead in the score before the break.
Astrakhan native Karina Sabirova performed well immediately after the break. The guests won 5:1 in the interval of six minutes and a half. It predetermined the outcome of the meeting.
It was the fourth consecutive defeat for HC Astrakhanochka. It lost to clubs Zvezda, Lada and Rostov-Don.
