HC Lada announced the termination of the contract with the head coach Dmitriy Tikhon.
The agreements with the Belarusian specialist and the physical training coach Dmitriy Onanchenko were terminated by mutual consent.
— Lada appreciates the Belarusian specialists for cooperation and wishes them success in their new posts. Oksana Romenskaya and Alexey Zhavoronkov will perform the duties of the head and the senior coaches of HC Lada respectively till the end of the present season. Romenskaya used to be Tikhon’s assistant before, Zhavoronkov led and continues to lead Lada-2» — is stated in the club’s announcement.
Tikhon headed the team last summer. Under his guidance HC Lada ceded in the match for the Super Cup of Russia, placed fourth in the Russian Final Four and failed to enter top-4 of the national championship for the first time.
HC Lada won 20 wins, 2 more meetings ended in a draw in 37 matches with Tikhon.
