The right back of Norwegian Vipers Kristiansand Anna Vyakhireva summarized the results of her five-year performance for HC Rostov-Don in her autobiographical essay "It’s me" for the EHF official website.
Vyakhireva moved to HC Rostov-Don from HC Astrakhanochka in 2016. After the season 2021/22 the player left Rostov-Don for Vipers Kristiansand.
— Rostov-Don was one of the clubs with the highest potential in Russia. The leadership created a truly great project. We had one goal — to win as many trophies as possible. I also wanted to play in the Champions League and Rostov-Don gave me this opportunity.
I spend five seasons there, even a bit longer. The fact, that I didn’t manage to win the Champions League with Rostov-Don, remains one of my biggest regrets. Winning this title with the Russian club was included in my sports target list, but it didn’t work out, — Vyakhireva said.
