The right back of Vipers Kristiansand Anna Vyakhireva told in her autobiographical essay "It’s me" for the EHF official website about her decision to move to the Norwegian club from HC Rostov-Don.
— At the end of the 2021/22 season it became clear, that if I want to return to handball at a professional level and play in the Champions League again, I have to move abroad. That is why I moved to Kristiansand, it was the best decision in my life. I met many good people in Norway, and it’s very comfortable to live here. I also managed to find a good balance between handball and personal life.
And it wasn’t surprising for me that I won the Champions League in my first season in this club. Probably, I’ve never felt so good on the handball court before, I’ve never been so happy to come on training, — Vyakhireva said.
