The Olympic champion Maya Petrova in the interview with Handballfast said she can return to handball in a new role.
- I will not lay my cards on the table, as I didn’t sign any papers. But if nothing breaks down, in July I will get to work which is certainly connected with handball. On the one hand, I would like to get out of my comfort zone and try myself in a new role. On the other, I still keep thinking whether I am doing the right thing. Was I a little hasty? Maybe, I should devote a little time to myself?
Well, for now together with my friend Nadya Muravieva with Russian Handball Federation support we organized a training camp for girls born in 2008, 2009 and 2010 in Moscow region. The first camp is held 14-23 June at Horizon park-hotel.
Besides me and Nadya, there will be Anna Vasilieva (Sidoricheva by husband last name) and her husband Alexandr, a general physical preparation coach, who will train the young handball players. Such camps are very popular in Europe. And it is the first similar experience in Russia, - said Maya Petrova.
