The away training session of the women’s national team of Russia started with a long flight from Moscow to Shenzhen. It took almost 24 hours to get to the destination. The national team left the sports base in Novogorsk at 15:30 Moscow time on Monday and checked into a hotel around 18:00 Beijing time (5 hours ahead of Moscow time). The flight delay from Moscow to Beijing followed by flight replacement to Shenzhen for a later one had an impact, the official website of the HFR informs.
August in Shenzhen, which is located in two thousand kilometers to the south of Beijing, is the end of the rainy season and the time of heavy rainstorms alternating with sunny days. The city met the national team of Russia without rain but with a high humidity, typical for this place, and temperature about 35°C. It took about an hour to get from the airport that is a normal result for a journey through the 17 million city.
The head coach of the national team Lyudmila Bodniyeva met the team at the hotel. She arrived there in advance to help the Chinese players in the training process. After the warm greetings Bodniyeva described the work plan to her wards. The players had an opportunity to rest on the arrival day, and today they had two workouts. The schedule of matches with China was also changed. The training session will be completed with the matches.
