The head of the HFR Sergey Shishkarev at press-conference told that European clubs in an attempt to sign a contract with Russian players Anna Vyakhireva and Darya Dmitriyeva were ready to pay any money.
- On part of European colleagues there was an attempt to have an impact on girls’ choice through me. They were ready to offer any amount of money, but I refused to be a mediator in this issue. It has reached the point that girls could ask whatever salary.
For obvious ethical reasons, I refused to continue discussion on that subject. I talked nighter to Anna, nor to Darya on this issue. I believe it’s inappropriate and incorrect to interfere in such matters on my side. On the other hand, it was pleasant — it was a real chase or, it may be said, hunting on our leading handball players, — shared Sergey Shishkarev.
