In one to the central matches in the women's championship HC Rostov-Don beat HC CSKA — 26:24 (13:8).
  
HC CSKA was losing 6 balls in the middle of the second half (20:14), but rushed in pursuit and cut the gap to minus 2 10 minutes before the end of the match. It was a great opportunity to reduce the gap to a minimum, but either Elena Mikhaylichenko hit the crossbar, or failed to outmaneuver Anastasia Kazmenko
 
Mikhaylichenko and Kristina Kozhokar became the most resultative players of the match with 9 scored goals, Kozhokar efficiently fulfilled 8 out of 8 7-meter penalty shots.
