The attempts of the Handball Federation of Russia to arrange friendly matches between the national teams face the problems of political matters. The head coach of the women’s national team of Russia Lyudmila Bodniyeva told TASS about it.
— Not everyone understands the difficulty of holding international matches. I assure that we are in contact with many federations, the majority expresses the desire to play with us. But not everything depends on the wish of two parties, the political issue exists.
The Federation works in this direction, we hope, that by the next season it will be possible to organize the matches, besides the meetings with the national team of Belarus. There are no guarantees, but we try to make it, — the head coach announced.
Previously, the head of the HFR Sergey Shishkarev informed about the plans to arrange friendly matches between the women’s national team of Russia and the teams of Iran, China and South Korea.
