The head coach of the women's national team of Russia Lyudmila Bodniyeva , who was honored to be inducted into the Hall of Fame of the EHF together with 27 handball players, including Irina Dibirova (Poltoratskaya), told in an interview to Handballfast about her trip to the opening ceremony.
— Lyudmila Valeriyevna, what impressions of visiting Vienna do you have? Did you manage to see many of those, who had also entered the number of legends?
— As far as I understand, not everyone could come both from among active players, who were individually awarded at the end of the 2022/23 season, and from those, who were included into the Hall of Fame. Some players had already planned vacation.
But I was able to see many people, it was such a meeting of graduates — I suppose, everyone will understand this analogy. I was happy to see my team mates and I warmly talked to former rivals.
— Were you given anything as a material evidence? Some prize or certificate?
— A little badge saying "EHF Legend". By the way, before you ask, I will note, that the announced list is not final, new names will appear in it regularly, — Lyudmila Bodniyeva said.
