The Chairman of the HFR High Council Sergey Shishkarev discussed preparation of the team and participation of the leaders of the national team in the session with journalists during the open training.
Shishkarev emphasized the importance of mutual work of young athletes with world-class masters like Anna Vyakhireva and Daria Dmitriyeva.
— The combination of youth and experience is the key to success. It’s essential for the whole sport that the best players come to the national team. It motivates them, especially in the matches where the Russian flag rises and the anthem sounds, — he added.
The Head of the High Council noted that the players readily come to the national team without additional persuasion.
— They miss supporters, the team, Russia. Their arrival to Novogorsk is an opportunity to reset, — Shishkarev said.
Concerning friendly matches, he argued for the matches with strong clubs instead of unknown national teams.
— It’s better to play with CSKA or Zvezda, than to hold meetings just for a tick, — he summed up.
