The left wing Ekaterina Levchina explained the reason for her transfer from Kuban to CSKA in a conversation with Handballfast author Vladimir Mozhaytsev.

 — Was it difficult to decide on it? What was your primary motivation besides the evident opportunity to fight for gold medals?

 — Actually, you have named the main motivation yourself. CSKA is the current champion of the country and the winner of the Russian Cup. I want to challenge myself in CSKA, to make sure that I comply with that level. In addition, the fact that Saint-Petersburg is my hometown became an important factor. It takes only 4 hours to get there from Moscow by Sapsan, and you know about logistics problems in Krasnodar. I wish I were closer to my family.

 — The competition in CSKA is so high. Aren’t you afraid to end up on the bench?

 — Of course, any athlete has such concerns. But everything depends on you. There are no other options but to work, work and work, — Ekaterina Levchina said.
