The official HFR web-site informs, that the men’s national U-20 team will go to Iran in the middle of March to play in three control matches against the youth team of Iran. The flight of the delegation to Teheran is scheduled for the 16 of March. During the next three days Anton Levchenko’s team will hold three friendly sparrings against the peers from Iran. The team will return to Moscow on March 21. The line-up and the exact time of the matches will be announced later.
To recall, the teams will face each other for the first time. At the same time, the youth team of Russia has an experience of playing against the adult national team of Iran. At the beginning of the calendar year two teams met in the Olimpbet Cup of Friendship tournament, which took place in Moscow during January holidays. The representatives of the Asian Federation of Handball achieved a hard-won victory over the Russian youth team then — 29:27.
