After defeat in Mogilev (28:32) the national team of Russia also lost to the team of Belarus in the second match of the series in Gomel. The result of the match is 27:26 (13:7) in favor of the hosts.
The Belarusians were leading 7 balls in the first half (13:6). Goalkeeper Igor Chernikov, who plays for HC Zenit Saint-Petersburg contributed significantly to its start. The Russian team scored its first goal on the 13th minute! The guests played well in defense and lost only four goals by that time.
