In the next season the number of clubs participating in East Division of SEHA-League will increase to ten. HC Victorwill join the tournament from the Russian side and from the part of Belarus it will be added by... HC Soork of China. Vice-president of SEHA-Gazprom League and managing director of East division Boris Sapozhnikov told about it in an exclusive interview to the chief editor of Handballfast Alexey Lebedev.
— The agreement on participation of the Chinese club already exists, and brilliant work of the Handball Federation of Belarus is worth mentioning.
Obviously, not all clubs, that participated in the tournament last season, will be able to play in the South division, that is why we are already considering new teams to replace them. I would refrain from exact names yet. But I can say with high confidence that Veszprem KC will exactly remain with us. As well as the Serbs. We are in close dialog concerning the others.
Despite everything, we are not going to sit on our hands, on the contrary, you can see yourself that we seek new possibilities and more formats. I suppose, the League will be expanded this year. Not only due to the teams from Turkey, but also due to participation of the clubs, representing Iran and other countries of Middle East. I can assure you, that we achieved a significant improvement in a few months, — Sapozhnikov said.
