A unique gala match in honor of the 10th anniversary of the victory of the Russian women’s national team at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro will be held on March 7 at Dynamo Arena (Vasilisa Kozhina str., 13).
All players of the golden line-up of the national team of Russia at the 2016 Olympics without exception will participate in the match, including athletes who have already completed their paying career and active players. The head coach of the winning team Yevgeni Trefilov will take place on the bench.

Another significant date will be celebrated this year — the fifth anniversary since winning the silver medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The players involved in that success will form the basis of the second team in the gala match: Anastasia Lagina, Polina Gorshkova, Ksenia Makeeva, Yulia Managarova, Elena Mikhaylichenko, Antonina Santalova, Olga Fomina, Polina Sharkova.
Due to the fact that a number of athletes formed the national teams at both Olympic tournaments, the representatives of the current roster of the Russian team will strengthen the national team at the Olympics in Tokyo. Aleksey Alekseev will head this version of the team of Russia, who had lead the national team in Tokyo.
