The Chairman of the Supreme Council Sergey Shishkarev summed up the results of the passing year.
 
 — The main outbreak of the outgoing year in the national handball is related to the victory of HC Zenit in the national championship. The victory of HC Rostov-Don in the Super Cup of Russia became an important and interesting event.  The way the championship is being held now lies in quite an exciting fight in both men and women. The international aspect, participation of the men’s national team in the tournament in Minsk is of high importance. I’m sure that the traditional Christmas tournament among men’s national teams in Moscow on January 5-7 will be bright, — rushandball.ru quotes Sergey Shishkarev’s words.
