The Head of the HFR Sergey Shishkarev announced the readiness to invest in a joint project with the Ministry of Defense on construction of sports facilities, including a football stadium for 18,000 spectators and a multi-purpose hall for 3,000 people to hold the matches of Chernomorocka.
— Now we are negotiating and I hope we will reach a certain agreement with the Ministryof Defense concerning area. It is a district of Vidova and Tobolskaya streets. It is the territory of 150 hectares, owned by the department, and which is currently not in full use. We agreed to cover 29 hectares of the territory together with CSKA. There will be a new stadium for 18 thousand spectators, a new multi-purpose hall for 3,000 people to hold handball matches of Chernomorocka, football fields and new infrastructure, including a hotel which is necessary for CSKA. We have close relationship with CSKA. It can be implemented.
Thus, the project is being studied by both sides now. We are close to have the report of two deputy defense ministers on this area. We will get a real solution in the nearest future, within a month or two, on the basis of which we will start acting. We haven’t done the total estimate yet, we counted the stadium and the base separately. But it may cost at least about 20 billion, — the Match TV journalist quotes Shishkarev’s words.
