— I looked at the statistics, the goalkeepers showed a good percentage of reflected throws today. There were moments in the first half when the hosts stood by their goal, but our players from the back line didn’t score. We also didn’t put the squeeze on the opponents after the break, though it seemed that we got close to them. There were unrealized penalty shootouts and one-on-one situations, sometimes the goalkeeper of the hosts made saves. It didn’t play in our favor. Some of the players performed better, some worse, but in general I have no complaints with the guys. Dedication was at a high level.
There were also quite obvious points in the game that were interpreted by the judges in the favor of the national team of Iran. The lack of international experience still matters. This results in mistakes. We analyze the situation from one training session to another. There are leaders and the youth in the team now. We see how the distance between them is reduced.
