The official website of the HFR announced the squad of the women’s national team of Russia for the upcoming training session.

The coaching staff of the women’s national team headed by Lyudmila Bodniyeva called 21 players to the location of the team.

The first training session of the women’s national team in 2025 will start in Novogorsk at the beginning of March and will last one week. There are no newcomers in the list this time.

 — The upcoming training session will be very short and will last from 3 to 8 March. It turns out that we will include the holiday into our schedule. Concerning the original version of the squad, there was little change. We don’t exclude a scenario that certain changes are possible, considering that not all the players are currently in optimal condition. It will be announced after the upcoming games of the championship of Russia. There are no newcomers in the squad this time, all of them are proven players. We settled on those players, who show slightly more stable play at the moment of the season compared to position competitors. Unfortunately, there will be no matches this time. I would like to post out that such format of work seemed somewhat unusual in the first year since our exclusion from international competitions. But even in such circumstances our coaching staff never had any doubts about motivation and professionalism of the players who had come to the training session. We always listen to the players, monitor their health and at the same time we are in touch with the coaches of the clubs, — Bodniyeva said.
