The women’s handball national team of Russia will gather on November, 18 in Novogorsk for a training session and will move to Minsk in a week, on November, 25. Within the training session, an open workout will be held for mass media, and the Russian team will participate in two friendly matches with the national team of Belarus on November, 26 and 27. The head coach of the national team Lyudmila Bodniyeva called 19 handball players, including four players, representing foreign clubs, namely stars Anna Vyakhireva and Daria Dmitrieva.
— The team didn’t gather in its optimal composition almost three years. Now we have an opportunity to assemble the best and expand the list of candidates. We are constantly in contact with the players, performing in Europe, and they confirm their readiness to participate, — Bodniyeva commented.
The head coach also noted, that several players weren’t able to join the team due to medical restrictions and personal circumstances.
Bodniyeva said, that the national team of Belarus has progressed significantly over recent years, and exciting games are waiting for the fans.
