The Handball Federation of Russia made a decision to suspend the competitions in the Russian Federation until March 27 inclusive. The HFR informed about it on its official web-site.
It is stated in the announcement:
— In connection with the tragic events which occurred on 22 March 2024 in Crocus City Hall in Moscow region, the Handball Federation of Russia made a decision to suspend sports competitions within the Russian Federation until March 27 inclusive.
The matches of the Russian Championship among men’s and women’s teams in Olimpbet Super League, Major League, Premier League and Youth Championship will be resumed after an additional notification. It will be reported in the coming days about the new dates of the matches.
The Handball Federation of Russia along with the players, coaches, executives, handball services staff and regional federations expresses its profound condolence to the families of the victims who suffered in yesterday’s tragedy.
