The Russian right wing from Vipers Kristiansand Anna Vyakhireva was named the player of the year in the women’s championship of Norway. This choice was made by handball players of the elite women's league. To recall, Vyakhireva won the Champions League and became the Final Four MVP for the first time in her career.
— It is really a great honour to receive the Player of the Year award. I try to show my best handball in each match, and I suppose it’s the reason for getting this award.
We are doing our best to motivate ourselves. Indeed, we understand, that we are much stronger than our competitors in some matches, but we want to improve our play in each game. Moreover, we pay great attention to have fun and to please all fans with a spectacular game.
I spent first few days of vacation in Spain with my «rats», as they call our trio in the team, Tuva Hove and Mina Hesselberg. Then I visited my sister and her little son. Maybe, I’ll have an opportunity to come home to see my whole family this summer, — Vyakhireva said.
