The head of the HFR Sergey Shishkarev commented on his appointment to the post of the Russian Olympic Committee Vice-President.
— It is an additional and great amount of work, which I will serve with the whole soul and all available time, which is not enough in the day, of course. I suppose, my skills of solving sophisticated tasks manager will be useful in this new position. It is sufficient to recall, how our women’s national team was breaking through to the Olympic Games in Rio-de-Janeiro, avoiding doping scandals, how our men’s national team got the wildcard to the World Cup… I think it confirms my ability to negotiate, convince the interlocutors and even opponents, protect the interests of Russia. It is not just pretentious words, but one of the main tasks, set by our leaders, in particular, Stanislav Alexeevich Pozdnyakov, — holding international negotiations. My experience is understandable, I have knowledge of foreign languages, and the work in a big logistic company made it possible to develop contacts around the world. I expect the European and International Handball Federations to become the guides of our interests, to convince international sports community of need to admit Russian teams to the Olympic Games and to qualifying competitions.
