HC Astrakhanochka press service announced the appointment to the position of the team captain for the next season on Sunday. Irina Korneeva, who is able to play as a right back and a line player, became the team’s captain.
Last season the goalkeeper Evelina Anoshkina was the captain. She becomes a vice-captain together with her colleague in the position Anastasia Ryabtseva.
— I don’t feel special euphoria from the appointment. It’s a great responsibility for me. This role implies avaliability of free time. Even last year they tried to recruit me to this position but I managed to refuse (laughing). A year later I agreed, the team expressed the intention, and I had no choice. I will do my best to meet the expectations of the team and the coaching staff, — shared emotions after the appointment Korneeva.
