The general director of the Handball Federation of Russia Lev Voronin in the interview to Russia News Agency told how the Federation is working to solve the problem concerning Russian teams removal.
- As to European Cups, we understand that the existing situation doesn’t clear up when we would be admitted there. I am very glad for the Judo Federation, I hope it would set a precedent and other federations will also be admitted to competitions. There are no grounds for suspension from international competitions. I hope sooner or later, reason will prevail and the dialog will be established.
At the moment the key problem is logistics. Chinese players flew for three days to us. We regard Argentinians as partners, it is convenient for us to get there, and for them as well. We have already discussed it with Bahrain and Qatar, their national teams are good enough to support our international level, thus we work in this direction, but everything comes down to logistics. For our part, we are ready to guarantee the safety of any team willing to come, - said Voronin.
Also, the official shared his opinion on performance of Sergei Mark Kosorotov and Dmitry Zhitnikov in Polish Wisla Plock.
- Everything depends on human mind and management of the club. Zhitnikov and Kosorotov became the leading players in the team. Just to be clear, they play in Poland which is extremely unfriendly to us, but the club protected their interests, so the teams willing to sign Anna Vyakhireva, will also take that path, - marked Lev Voronin.
