The Supreme Council of the Handball Federation of Russia approved the date and venue of the match for the Super Cup among men’s teams. The match will be held on the 29th of August in Chekhov in the Sports Palace Olympiysky named after V.S.Maksimov. The press service of the HFR will inform the time of the match later.
The champion of Russia and the winner of the Cup of Russia HC CSKA Moscow and the finalist of the Cup of Russia HC Chekhovskie medvedi will compete for the honorable trophy.
The Super Cup of Russia is held since 2014. Chekhov hosted the Super Cup five times in the tournament history. The club from the Moscow region Chekhovskie medvedi was the holder of the trophy in 2014-2022 and also won the national championship in these years. HC CSKA Moscow broke off the unbeaten series of HC Chekhovskie medvedi and was the winner of the trophy three previous seasons.
