The Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Handball Federation of Russia Sergey Shishkarev shared his impressions of the match for the men’s Super Cup of Russia.
To recall, HC CSKA beat HC Zenit in Volgograd with a score of 35:27 on Saturday.
— I congratulate everyone with the beginning of a new handball season! It traditionally started with a match for the Super Cup in which CSKA was stronger than the national champion Zenit Saint-Petersburg. I expected a tougher struggle, but the capital club turned out to be more aggressive, effective and deservedly won. Moreover, the club won for the third consecutive time.
I suppose Dmitriy Torgovanov’s wards were far from their optimal form, besides, their attacks were constantly stopped on the goal line by Vadim Bogdanov. I would also like to thank the supporters, who filled the stands of Dynamo Arena in Volgograd.
Now we are expecting the women’s Super Cup, involving the principal rivals CSKA and Rostov-Don. I am convinced that the match between them on the 30th of August will be not less bright and interesting.
To recall, the match between CSKA and Rostov-Don will be held next Saturday, on the 30th of August at Dynamo volleyball arena in Moscow (Vasilisa Kozhina Street, 13) and will start at 16:00. The federal channel Match TV will broadcast live the meeting.
