The centre back of HC CSKA Ekaterina Ilyina said in comments to Handballfast what the victory in the last women’s Super League means to her.
— I’m not going to palter — I wanted to leave on a beautiful note, with a gold medal. I’m very happy that we managed to do it. I’m overwhelmed with joyful emotions. Probably, the last championship will be the most memorable because it put an end to the career. I’m grateful to my teammates for giving me a fairy tale. And I’m thankful to myself as well.
— What are your future plans?
— I plan to rest and reset. There will be a new path I my life. I’m sure it will also be wonderful.
— Aren’t you going to become a coach?
— I haven’t thought about it. Likely not, — Ilyina said.
