According to Match TV web-site, the question of whether the 67-year-old specialist from Serbia Velimir Petkovic continues his work with the men’s national team of Russia as a head coach is still under discussion in the HFR. German mass media with reference to own sources informed earlier, that Petkovic, who had been training different Bundesliga clubs for years, will return to Germany in the summer of 2024.
"The contract between Velimir Petkovic and the HFR is valid until the end of July 2024, the terms of the agreement are tied to the Olympic cycle. The decision whether he continues to work with the national team hasn’t been made yet. The issue is under discussion. And Petkovic is actively working with the team at the moment and preparing it to the nearest Super Series matches with the national team of Belarus, which will be held on 15 and 17 of March", — matchtv.ru quotes the HFR press service.
