The coaching staff of the women’s national team headed by Lyudmila Bodniyeva named the players, who will spend the training session from 1st to 8th of August in Shenzhen city in the south of China. During the session our team will face the national team of China twice — on the 3rd and 5th of August.
The list of athletes, participating in the training session, is as follows:
— goalkeepers: Anastasia Kazmenko (Rostov-Don), Polina Kaplina (CSKA), Anastasia Ryabtseva (Asrakhanochka);
— left wingers: Marianna Egorova (Zvezda), Kristina Kozhokar (Rostov-Don);
— right wingers: Yulia Managarova (Rostov-Don), Albina Murzalieva (CSKA);
— pivots: Alena Amelchenko (Rostov-Don), Anastasia Illarionova (CSKA), Ksenia Makeeva (Rostov-Don);
— right backs: Ekaterina Zelenkova, Daria Statsenko (both from Rostov-Don), Olga Shcherback (Lada);
— left back: Elena Mikhaylichenko (CSKA), Anastasia Shavman (Kuban), Polina Sharkova (Astrakhanochka);
— playmakers: Valeria Kirdyasheva, Alina Reshetnikova (both from Rostov-Don).
— Without taking into account the legionaries and a couple of players from youth national team, who had performed well during the championship of Russia, it is our combat squad, — Lyudmila Bodniyeva told the HFR website.
— The idea to hold the training session in China was discussed even during the Olimpbet Cup of Friendship in spring. Considering the shortage of international matches, it’s a good option for our team. If we put aside the place, it will be an ordinary session, with a complete training program. Moreover, two friendly matches with the national team of China are ahead of us.
The Chinese national team is a well known to us club Fenix, joined by several new players. By agreement between the federations, I arrived in advance and help this team in the training process. It’s an interesting experience, but I’m looking forward to my handball players arrival. Any sparring partner is useful for us now, while the national team of Russia is a great competitor for the Chinese team in preparation for the Olympic qualification and the Asian Games, — the head coach said.
